Water is a vital resource, and effective management is key to ensuring sustainable development, especially in regions facing water scarcity. This course focuses on the principles and practices of water resource management, with particular emphasis on the Southeastern Anatolia Project (GAP) in Turkey, a large-scale initiative aimed at improving water use efficiency and fostering sustainable agriculture.
Participants will learn about water conservation techniques, efficient irrigation systems, and integrated water management strategies that promote environmental sustainability. The course covers critical topics such as water availability, demand, and distribution, as well as the socio-economic and ecological impacts of water management practices.
